German computer news [heise][hn]'' today announced that police arrestedPresumptive Phatbot writer” and “Sasser/Netsky writer”.

The former is a 21 years old nonworker that is suspected of having written and deployed the Phatbot worm that proves to be an effective WMD.

The latter is told to be an 18 years old student from Niedersachsen, who wrote Sasser as well as all Netsky variants circulating on the net for some time now.

Apparently, an anonymous phone call to Microsoft was the initial cause for the arrest of the Sasser author.
