ramblings, rants and red pills
There was an interesting debate at MacMerc’s about “Yazsoft cries foul against VersionTracker” which finally made me find a software that looks as the ideal candidate to end the update hassle.
It’s called “Renew” and is developed by myndlinksw.com:
We all know keeping your software up-to-date is important. Bug fixes come along, as well as security patches. [...]
For some time now, I regularly but randomly sport spontaneous disconnects of my ADSL router at home, which is (as of today) a Zyxel Prestige 650-R. This little goodie sports a UNIX syslog facility which lets you record almost everything that happens during operation. Including, hopefully, the reason why it disconnects “at will”.
Today, I decided that I needed some kind of DVD Catalog Software for my growing collection of movies.
From all the (dozens of) available Mac OS X titles, DVD Cache seems to be the best.
All the others were not useful or missed some of the features DVD Cache sports.
So, if you need a similar software, give it a try…
