Fractals
· Updated: · 1 min readToday, I literally ate a fractal. We had some vegetables for dinner (Mhm, yummy!), and among these was one called Romanesco.
If you have a look at the detail view on the right, you can see that it’s a prefectly built fractal: It starts in the spiral and gives you the impression that the spiral would re-appear endlessly, if only you had a magnifier right at your fingertips.
It made me think of what other kind of fractals nature produces. Here’s my list so far:
- fern
- snowflakes
- maple leaf
- dendrite* trees
- canyons
- fjord
- cochleae
Any other ideas?
