Catch a childhood dream – Quote of the day
· Updated: · 1 min readCurrently, I’m constantly stumbling upon new blogs, mainly on the subject of Innovation and the like. On [Jack Vinson’s][0] I found [this post about catching a childhood dream][1]. Obviously, this made me think about my childhood dreams. There were quite a few, I guess, but the ones that stick in my head are the following:
- Airline Pilot
- Electronics
- Inventor
However, when I was like 7 to 9 years old, I had one predominant childhood dream:
- Sailing the seven seas – becoming a captain of a [really big ship][2]
Today, I’m not the captain of a [really big ship][2], but in some way, this dream still remains in my heart – I love the sea and one of my favourite quotes is the following one:
If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.
[Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Famous pilot and writer]
